15 months old

Tidbits from this month:

• No longer nursing but loves whole milk and eating meals with us. 

• She had been nursing less and less and finally stopped trying when I offered it to her. She confirmed to me that she was done. She stopped nursing a few weeks ago. She kept looking down my shirt so I offered to nurse her. She looked at me and said, “Nah!”
• Sleeps 13-14 hours in a 24 hour period
• Asleep by 1930 and gets up 12 hours later but will play happily in the crib
• Takes one long afternoon nap now....I put her down between 12-1230 and she will nap until it is time to get Davis from school at 1510.
• Weighs 16 pounds 12.4 ounces (2%), 28 inches tall (less than 1%) and head circumference was 17.5 inches (18%)<1 17.5="" and="" circumference="" head="" inches="" li="">
  • Mom found my weight when I was a baby...At 18 months old I was only 16 pounds and petite. Wow, we look alike, too!
  
• Her 5th tooth (upper left lateral incisor) has poked through...she now has three on top, two on bottom. 

• Does great at physical therapy. She is pulling up on her own now!

• New word: Ball 
• At PT, they start with her boucing/stretching on an exercise ball. She gets so excited and starts saying, "Ball, ball..." until they put her on it!
• When she is upset, she will poke out her bottom lip.

• Her hair is a mess. it is getting longer in the back but the front and sides aren't growing as fast! She almost has a mullet!

First pigtails

15 months

• At his well visit, weighed 23 pounds 15 ounces (67% for kids his age), was 32 inches tall (79%) and head circumference was 18 inches (19%).
• Eats four sippy cups of (warm) whole milk with meals and after the afternoon nap
• Loves solids and will eat most anything 
• Newest word: cheese
• Sleeps 14 1/2-16 hours in a 24 hour period
• Asleep by 1930 and usually gets up 12 hours later but will play happily in the crib
• Bottom right molar has cut through
• Makes choo choo sounds when playing with trains and car sounds when playing with cars
• Will play downstairs with Davis by themselves
• Loves playing outside and stroller rides to the mailbox

• Loves hats and sunglasses...brings them to us to put on over and over

• His hair is really long in the back middle (like a rat tail) and around his ears

•  Loved the Family Museum in Moline, he would run from one thing to the next

15 months old

 

Davis is sleeping 14 1/2 to 16 1/2 hours in a 24 hour period. He will play happily in his crib for awhile before he wants to get up. It may be time to go to one nap a day because it takes him a good hour to fall asleep with each nap. He is content to play in his crib although I think he just really likes to have his pacifier. Here are tidbits from this month:

• Weighs around 20 pounds
• His new words this month are: Uh Oh (all the time), car, doggy, light (will point to it), side (outside), no, ball, yuck and baby. He will repeat most every word!
• Has two teeth on top and two teeth on bottom though another top one should poke through any day!
• Will finally hold the bottle himself! He loves hot dogs, meatloaf, PB&J and pizza

•  Granny taught him to whisper.....he gets so loud at the table so she started whispering to him and he immediately started whispering back 

•  He is so busy....he runs all over the house but really enjoys to be "side" (outside). As soon as we say go outside he runs to the front door and is ready to go right then!

• Loves the stairs. Gavin taught him to go down the stairs backwards. He is very cautious though and will stand at the top of the stairs and grunt.
