Sweet Little You

A local photographer does free newborn sessions for 2-3 weeks old every few weeks. This week Amy had a mentoring session with new photographers and needed a model.

I wanted to get pictures of all 5 five of us before Granny left.

 The boys are up to something....

Two weeks old

 
At Allison's two weeks appointment she weighed 7 pounds (16% for kids her age),  she was 20 1/4 inches long (63%) and head circumference was 34.1 cm (21 %)

Allison nurses every 2-3 hours during the day. The longer stretch is in the afternoon and we have a longer stretch of 4-5 hours at night, too. I have forgotten how much newborns sleep, I call her Sleeping Beauty because she is usually awake long enough to eat and then goes right back to sleep.

She will be alert for a bit first thing in the mornings and in the evenings after the boys are in bed! The boys do so good with her and ask to hold her.

 Davis set the pillows up so she could read with him!

Two weeks old

At Luke's two week appointment he weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces (42% for kids his age),  he was still 20 1/4 inches long (38%), and head circumference was 14 inches (47%). He mostly nurses every 2-4 hours both day and night! Luke also has tracheamalacia, basically a floppy trachea. He should grow out of it.

Granny and Granddaddy were only here the day we came home but they will be back in January.

Grampa, Granna, and Aunt Jen came on Christmas Eve and got lots of cuddle time with Luke and playtime with Davis!

I had forgotten how much newborn's sleep. He is usually awake long enough to eat and then goes right back to sleep.
