Ten months old

Allison nurses every 2-3 hours during the day. I stopped waking her up in the middle of the night to nurse her so she goes about 10-11 hours at night without nursing. 

Allison sleeps 12-14 hours (10 hours at night) in a 24 hour period. She has started waking up by 0700. Her morning naps are hit or miss now. Sometimes she will only sleep 30-45 minutes while nursing and then be up until 1130. On days she doesn't take a good morning nap, she will take a longer afternoon nap. Bath time starts by 1900 and she is ready for bed by 2030. 

Other tidbits from this month:

• Weighs over 13 pounds
• Supplemented once a day....didn't have any problems drinking a bottle

• Says Ns and Mama
• Sits up by herself

• Started to army crawl but decides that rolling where she wants to go is faster

Ten months old

Eats

• mostly four bottles a day and eats 3 meals a day. 
• This month I need to work on combining meal times so he drinks his milk with meal time. 
• New foods introduced this month: shredded cheese, blueberry, brussels sprouts, eggplant, cheerios. 

Sleeps:

• 14 1/2 to 15 1/2 hours in a 24 hour period. 
• He has started sleeping much better at night. He is consistently sleeping 12-13 hours straight!
• We start our day by 0800 and he is in bed by 1930. 
• His nap times are pretty consistent (0930 and 1330 or if he sleeps in 1030 and 1430)
• Sleeps about 100 minutes for both naps

 Tidbits from this month:

• Poor buddy got two more teeth up top and two more on bottom (four on top, four on bottom) Thankfully it didn't seem to bother him.
• Moving into mostly 12 month clothes cause he is so tall!
• Can stand up by himself, he goes longer every week. I think we are very close to walking.

• Says Mama, Dada, Baba, and Ps
• Jumps up and down in the crib
• Loves to dance when he hears music
• Loves to sing in the car and will sing himself to sleep in the crib
• Wrestles stuffed animals
• Makes the razz sound all the time and does it when he gets upset with what we are doing (wiping his nose)
• He is so happy and will smile at anyone who makes eye contact. 

• Favorite non toys: pulling stuff out of the kitchen cabinets, toilets (ugh), TV remote
• Climbs up the stairs
• Loved the beach and the waves though it was hard to keep him from eating sand

•  Adores his big brother. He gets so excited when Davis gets up from nap and will crawl very quickly to Davis' room

Ten months old

Davis is sleeping 14 1/2 to 15 1/2 hours in a 24 hour period (most nights 12 hours straight!) We have started to combine his feeding times so that he drinks part of his milk in the sippy cup while he eats and then finishes the other 4 ounces in the bottle after his meals. We have also tried to get him on a 0800, 1200 and 1730 meal time schedule. He is doing great with it! If we are late with dinner he lets us know about it! He nurses in the morning and sometimes before bed.  We start our day around 0730 and he is usually asleep by 1930. His nap times are pretty consistent (0930 and 1330 or if he sleeps in 1030 and 1430). He usually sleeps 80 minutes. Here are tidbits from this month:

• Weighs over 17 pounds
• Wears size three diapers and 9 months clothes (though some sleeves are getting short)
• Eats very well and has started feeding himself finger foods: introduced to shredded cheese, pineapple, blueberry, brussels sprouts, eggplant, black beans, northern beans, and apparently loves cheerios in the nursery!

• Will laugh hysterically when overtired and shake his head to make himself dizzy

• Can stand for a few seconds at a time all by himself

• Will cruise along furniture 
• Will jump up and down in his crib
• Finally will say Momma and Dada, Nana, hey and huh. 
• Waves bye bye, loves waving to himself in the mirror. 
• Loves when Daddy comes home, he will crawl straight to him grinning and then he will just sit with Daddy for a long time
• Getting first tooth (broke through on 3/27) and teethe on his paci
• Plays peek a boo with bedtime book and curtains
• Makes a funny "funny face"

• Received his first haircut

• Loves being outside on the deck. Will stare at the neighbor or Daddy cutting the grass or watch Daddy and Granddaddy working.

 

• Had a fever for the first time with a terrible cold, runny nose, and cough. I knew he was not feeling well when he would not play and fell asleep on me (he has not done that since he was a wee little one)

First Haircut

The boy is in desperate need of a haircut. He would certainly get a demerit if he were a student at Daddy's Alma Mater

PCC's rules for guys were hair off the eyebrows, ears, and collar

He stooped down as Daddy started
