Davis is done with his schoolwork so he asked to watch TV. 

Davis, “Finally it’s time to relax. Everyone needs to relax!”

Grabs the remote and sits on the couch, “Except the Devil, he never relaxes cause he’s the devil!”

We ask the boys “How was your day at school today?” at dinner every night. They usually reply, “Good or great!” Then we can get some more info out of them about their day.

Today it went like this,
“How was your day at (home) school?”
Luke: “ Horrible!” He then explained it was horrible because he did too much work!

I then asked Davis thinking I’d get better feedback.
“How was your day at (home) school?”
Davis: “Devastating!”

First day of Kindergarten

 Monday night we had kindergarten orientation.

 

 

 

 Mrs. Krambeer is his teacher this year. This is her 3rd year teaching kindergarten but first year at Hudson Elementary. Davis mumbled, "Davis Jason Brown" when she asked him his name. Only two other boys from preschool are in Davis' class.

 

 

Today was his first day of school.

He wasn't really excited about going but did good walking into his class.

 

 

 

 After we put his stuff in his locker, I think we lingered too long. He started crying and asking to stay with Mommy. Luckily Daddy was there and able to redirect him. In the meantime I had lost Luke. He was wondering the hallways and also upset! By the time I got Luke, Davis was settled down and seemed happy when we left. On the way home from school he told me he told his teacher that he would be missing a few weeks of kindergarten!

May 18: When we were descending into the Sanford area, the boy said loudly, "The plane is going down, look the plane is going down!" I quickly corrected him to say it was descending. The guy next to us got a laugh out of it.

May 22: At lunch today the boy was watching the birds at the bird feeder, he asked me "Did Granddaddy paint the birds red?"

 May 24: Another question from the boy today: this morning at church he looked at the choir and asked, "Mommy, why are those humans lined up?"

Davis has started coming up with reasons to get bandaids or medicine. We finally have had to tell him he only gets a bandaid if he is bleeding. One day he was asking for medicine because his "eyes were clicking."
