Ephesians 6:1

First bible verse

Now that the boy is in the 2 year old Sunday School class, we have been working on his bible verse for the week. 

Do not be anxious about anything....

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

I know the first part of this verse by heart but yesterday in church to see verse 7 was just what I needed. It seems I will not be anxious or worry about being able to have a baby for a little while and then I take it right back. I am still striving to not worry about it and then just give it all to God and let Him know my worries. I absolutely love that I know the peace of God will guard my hearts and my mind. What a wonderful verse!!

Trust

 When God puts a dream in your heart, He starts preparing you for its fulfillment. Trust in God's timing.

I saw this on Tarah's status on facebook.. I think it is from Joel O'Steen. I am not a fan of him but really liked this quote.

When I read this quote it reminded me how I would love to have a baby. Initially the selfish side of me thought, "Yes, that means I will be able to have a baby." Oh girl, I still have a lot to learn. Thankfully I saw the last sentence. Trust in God's timing. Now that may be the hard part.

For now I will remind myself of this verse:

I was cleaning up today and found this verse on a bookmark under the cushion of the couch. How true is this verse? I can apply this to so many areas in our life now. From God's perfect match for me in Jason to the timing of an opening at the Family Birth Center just as Jason was moving to Iowa. The bookmark is now posted on the refrigerator as a sweet reminder of how wonderful our God is to us!
