Happy 4th Birthday, Davis!

Davis was excited about his birthday. Over the last few weeks, he had been talking about having a gun birthday. I couldn't find a gun birthday cake. On Monday we went to Target and he picked out a Planes birthday cake instead. He did get a nerf gun and darts for his birthday gift from us!

He woke me up that morning and I said, "Happy Birthday!" He asked if I could bring the Christmas tree upstairs so his presents could be under the tree. He also wanted to go pick up his cake but it wasn't going to be ready until later that afternoon.

He wanted to go to the park that morning so we spent most of the morning playing there.

He played with this boy most of the time. The boy was older and had rode his bike by himself to the park. Davis asked him if he had a Mommy. Guess he wondered where she was!

He was too excited to sleep for nap so he had quiet time in his room. Jackson and Henry were outside so we went over there for a bit to play. When Luke got up, we went to pick up his birthday cake. The DeFord family came over for supper to celebrate Davis' birthday.

Daddy grilled his favorite food, cheeseburgers, and then it was time for the cake. He was an absolute hoot when we sang Happy Birthday to him.

Davis sleeps about 10 hours at night. He is usually in bed by 2000 and will get up between 0600-0700. He takes almost a 2 hour nap in the afternoon around 1230. Some days he just has quiet time in his room and he is supposed to stay in his room during this time.

At his four year visit with Dr. Shockley, weighed just over 36.5 pounds (56% for kids his age) and was 3 feet 5.75 inches tall (80%). He gained 5.5 pounds and grew 3.5 inches taller in the last year!

Davis' favorite snacks are goldfish, fruit snacks and granola bars. By 1000 he is asking for a snack and by 1100 he starts asking if it is lunch time. Lunch favorites ham and mustard or peanut butter and jelly. He will ask for and eat both sandwiches some days! Other favorite foods are cheeseburgers, meatloaf, pasta, and sausage pizza.

Davis loves watching movies and shows. His favorite show is Curious George and he loves Cars, Planes, Despicable Me, and Rio. He loves books and will requests the same stories over and over.

He loves to play with his trains, cars, dinosaurs and dump trucks. He will take his dump trucks outside and dig in the dirt.

He likes to ride his bike around the neighborhood after dinner to get the mail. He can go so fast!

Davis has started coming up with reasons to get bandaids or medicine. We finally have had to tell him he only gets a bandaid if he is bleeding. When he realizes he has a bandaid on he will limp around the house or favor his arm.

Davis adores Luke. Every few months I get the boys matching jammies. Davis always gets a kick out of wearing the same ones as Luke.
