Eleven Months Old

Allison nurses every 3-4 hours during the day. I nurse her right before she goes to sleep at and will go 11-12 hours at night. She gets a bottle after lunch, too.

Allison sleeps 13-14 hours (11 hours at night) in a 24 hour period. She wakes up by 0700. Her morning naps are getting better this month. She will sleep 1.5-2 hours. If she doesn't take a long morning nap, she will nap longer in the afternoon. Since school started, I have to wake her up at 1500 to pick up Davis. Bath time starts by 1900 and she is asleep by 2000.

Other Tidbits from this month:

• Weighs over 14 pounds (this extra bottle a day has helped)
• Loves solids....eats a whole banana and whole milk yogurt for breakfast, avocados, apples and eggplants are a favorite, too!
• Army crawls more than rolls now. She will come into the kitchen and really likes to play in the boys' room. 

Eleven months old

Eats:

• Four bottles a day and has started drinking less of the formula
• He will just toss his bottle or sippy cup after a few sips 
• Loves solids and feeding himself, especially spaghetti
• A friend recommended this pouch to me. Just pour applesauce or yogurt in it and he can drink it with no mess!

  

 Sleeps:

• 14 1/2 to 15 1/2 hours in a 24 hour period. 
• He is consistently sleeping 12-13 hours straight!
• We start our day by 0800 and he is in bed by 1930. 
• His nap times are pretty consistent (0930 and 1330 or if he sleeps in 1030 and 1430)
• Sleeps about 100 minutes for both naps

Tidbits from this month:

• Weighs about 20 pounds
• In 12 month clothes and size 3 diaper
• Says Mama, Dada, Ps and the new word this month is Uh Oh
• Takes a few steps before deciding crawling is a faster option
• Loves riding in the shopping cart but prefers to see where we are going

 

• Seen at Convenient Care for croup. Poor baby was having trouble breathing at night. After a few days of steriods, he was much better.
• Thinks being read to is the funniest, he will just laugh and laugh when I get his Tiny Bear Bible out. 
• Loves bath time....Davis will start the bath for him. Once he hears the water going, he will bolt to the bathroom!

A few steps

Just in the last week brother has taken one step before deciding crawling is a faster option. The last few days he's been taking a couple of steps each time! Of course, he would stop trying once the camera was out.

May trip to Florida

Jason had a trip to Germany for work so Davis and I went to Florida while he was gone. We got to stay for three weeks. The first week Jason was in Germany, the second week Jason was visiting the Deere facilities in Georgia and North Carolina and the third week was our family vacation to St. Augustine.

I was concerned how Davis would do on the plane since he is mobile now but he did great. We barely made it to the airport before they closed check in. We sat in the very back of the plane and had three seats to ourselves. It worked perfectly for Davis to move from seat to seat.

Granddaddy picked us up and we went to Cracker Barrel for lunch. Davis loved playing with the new toys at Granddaddy and Granny's house.

Grampa, Granna, and Aunt Jennifer came over for dinner on Tuesday night.

On Wednesday morning, we went to the Senior Expo at the Prime Osborne to honor one of the church members who received the Male Senior Citizen of the Year.

We then stopped at Boger's Shoes so Davis could get properly fitted for shoes. This is where Mom bought my first pair of shoes!

Davis was worn out from our adventures of the day.

On Thursday, we went to visit Mema and Great Granddaddy.

Then we went to stay at Granna and Grampa's over the weekend. Davis loved playing with Sally and chasing Sammy, playing in the ball pit, wagon rides around the neighborhood and bubbles outside. He wasn't too sure about walking barefoot in the grass.

Jason surprised his mom on Saturday night for Mother's Day!

We then went back to Granny and Granddaddy's house during the week while Jason was traveling. Davis loved going to church!

Davis loved the pool and showed no fear at all!

 The rest of the week we soaked up the time with family and friends!

Eleven months old

Davis is sleeping 14 1/2 to 16 1/2 hours in a 24 hour period (most nights 12 hours straight). He drinks his milk from the sippy cup at breakfast and lunch. He will have a bottle after afternoon nap and before bed. After trying Playtex (spout too hard), Nuby (spills if not on tight and hard to get a drink), Tommee Tippee (hard to drink), we finally found the perfect sippy cup! Nuk was the only one he would drink all of his milk and is really spill proof! His naps are still consistent (two to two and a half hours after waking) and he usually sleeps for 80 minutes. Here are tidbits from this month:

• Weighs over 18 pounds 
• Wears size three diapers and 12 months clothes (although the bottoms are too big)
• Loves solids and will eat everything
• Waves and says hi to everyone (most of the time)
• Loves helping me empty the dishwasher. If he is another room while I empty it and hears me, he will rush in to help with the spoons. 
• Makes an incredibly funny "funny face"

• Chases balls, bowls and bottles as they roll away on the tile
• Walks more everyday (started with a few steps on April 30)  
• Cutting second tooth, he will be really fussy for a day and then the next day a tooth will be cutting through!
• Plays hard and loves the park, pool and playing in the grass
