13 months old

Tidbits from this month:

• Nursing less, usually three times a day (morning, after nap, and before bed)
• Whole milk with meals
• Loves solids and will eat most anything....when she is done or doesn't like what she is eating, will drop food on the floor (only on Mama's side though!)
• Jason told her no dropping food and barely tapped her hand. She was heartbroken. 
• Favorite foods are banana, yogurt, avocados, cheese sticks and squash.

• Sleeps 13-14 hours in a 24 hour period
• Asleep by 1930 and gets up 12 hours later but will play happily in the crib

• Takes two naps a day but if morning nap is too long then doesn't sleep well for the 2nd nap
• Words: Mama, nana (banana), Dada, baba
• Weighs around 16 pounds....she gained a pound in two weeks after starting whole milk!
• Army crawls everywhere and is so fast!
• Gives the best slobbery good night kisses
• Loves books

•  Loved the kid Christmas tree!

13 months old

 

Tidbits from this month:

• Eats four sippy cups of (warm) whole milk with meals and after the afternoon nap
• Loves solids and will eat most anything
• Sleeps 14 1/2-16 hours in a 24 hour period
• Asleep by 1900 and usually gets up 12 hours later but will play happily in the crib
• Takes two naps a day, if his morning nap is too long then doesn't sleep well for the 2nd nap
• New words: DeeDee (dog), buddy and thank you.
• Just in the last few weeks he has started walking more than crawling
• Loves climbing.....up and down the stairs, in and out of boxes. 

 

• Loves music and dancing. He gets a big smile and will stop fussing if I put on one of his CDs
• Chases balls around the living room and kitchen

13 months old

Davis is sleeping 14 1/2 to 16 1/2 hours in a 24 hour period (most nights 12 hours straight). He is weaned from the bottle, breast and formula! He now drinks whole milk from his sippy cup. He drinks his milk at all meals and most nights before bed.  He is in bed between 1930-2030 depending on how late he slept for his afternoon nap.  His naps are still consistent (two to two and a half hours after waking) and he usually sleeps up to two hours with each nap. He usually is down for his morning nap by 1100 and his afternoon nap as late as 1600. Here are tidbits from this month:

• At his one year appointment a little over a week ago, weighed 19 pounds 8 ounces (5th percentile for kids his age), 31 inches long (75%), and head circumference is 18.5 (50-75%).
• Moved to his big boy car seat. I finally decided on the Britax Marathon 70 for his convertible car seat

• Loves solids and will eat most anything.

• Says Baba (bottle), Nana (banana), Ee, Ee, Ee (eat). Will repeat it when I say it before we eat
• Will clap when he does a new thing or when he hears others clapping
• Top right front tooth is poking through
• Walks around with something in his hand (usually spoons)

• Loves climbing and riding his birthday present

•   Will sit and read books for a few minutes then will bring books to us to read to him

•  Loves to swing......will throw back is head and just belly laugh

•  Loves playing at the mall's playground. He runs around and "talks" the whole time while playing

•  Finally found the right shoes so that he can walk in shoes.

 

• Plays so hard but gets tired fast....my clues that it is nap time is he'll get fussy, fall down more, or be still
