21 months old

• Drinks whole milk at meals and with afternoon snack. He drinks up to 20 ounces a day. He gets water in between. He calls both baba. He likes to carry his water cup around everywhere. 

• This boy can eat!

• Sleeps 15 hours in a 24 hour period. 
• Asleep by 1930. Sleeps 12 hours at night and plays happily in his crib until I get him at 0800.
• Afternoon nap starts by 1300 and he will sleep 2.5-3 hours.  
• New words: school, hello (he holds up whatever he is holding to his ear)  and rash (trash). 
• He loves to throw stuff away and pick things up. I have found laundry in his trash can. After diaper changes, he runs to the bathroom to throw the diaper away. 
•  Has all of his teeth except last 4 molars
• Loves the park

• He likes to drive the van!

•  I am loving the one on one time with him while Davis is in school! He plays so good by himself. It sure is quiet around the house without Davis

• Lines up his cars or trains.

 

21 months old

Davis is sleeping 13-15 hours in a 24 hour period. He is finally moving up to 24 month clothes, size 6 shoe, and still a size 4 diaper. He has done great with potty training and now tells us when he needs to go! Here are tidbits about this month:

• New words: blanket, okay, pizza, apple sauce, jacket, balloon, train, guitar, violin and thank you (without prodding). 
• He is absolutely adorable when it is time for a story or flash cards. We always huddle under a blanket on the couch. If I don't have the blanket near, he will immediately go find it and drag it to us. Then after he gets settled, he says "okay"
• Asks about church at least once a day and then says, "Connor? Logan?"
• He loved playing in the snow on our "warmer' days and sledding. 

Riverwalk

 Granna works at Blue Cross Blue Shield and walks Jacksonville's Riverwalk at lunch. She knew the boy would love the walk, especially seeing the trains and boats.

On Friday night, we rode the Skyway.

The boy loved looking around but when a group of teenagers rode in the cart with us, he was not impressed!

On Saturday morning, we went back to the Riverwalk's market under the Fuller Warren. The boy loved riding in his wagon, waving to everyone we passed and loved the friendly dogs

After nap the boy had a blast playing ball, bubbles with Grampa, and playing with Daddy's old cars and trucks

Granny and Granddaddy took off today so we headed to St. Augustine for the day.

A day in the life

I am linking up with Kelly's Korner for Show Us Your Life. Here goes, a day in the life of Mommy and an almost 21 month old!

0730: I wake up to Davis talking in his crib. He plays or sings while I check the news and then have quiet time.
0800: I take a shower and then get breakfast started while he is still playing happily in his crib.
0830: I get Davis dressed and tell him our plans for the day
0845: breakfast, then Davis plays while I clean up and unload the dishwasher.
0900-1130: playtime, read books, play tractors and cars, chases Bella, follows me around as I get ready and straighten up the house, or we run errands
By 1130 he is winding down so I hurry and make lunch
1145: lunch
1200: Davis gets a 2nd wind and continues to play while I clean up the kitchen
Between 1230-1245, we start our nap time routine. I read him a book, The Adventures of Seth and Hannah. I made this book to document our camping trip to Tennessee in 2009. We then sing the night night songs (Jesus Loves Me, The BIBLE, Jesus Loves The Little Children and I Love You Lord.) we then pray and then I put him in his crib for nap.
1300: he plays or a few minutes and then goes to sleep.
1315-1530. While he is sleeping I take a nap, play on the iPad, use the treadmill or talk on the phone. He starts to stir at about the two hour (sometimes three!) mark and will play in his crib for awhile
By 1600. I get him and we have a snack
By 1630 Daddy's home! Davis plays while I start dinner
1730: dinner
1745-1800; more playing while I clean up the kitchen
By 1830 we go D (downstairs) and Davis plays while daddy and I play ball.
Between 1900-1915 I take Davis for his bath.
By 1930 Daddy gives him his milk and then I brush his teeth, tell him one story (My Little One). Sing the night night songs, pray and put him in his crib.
By 2000 he is asleep
I then watch TV with Jason, catch up on the days events and by 2130 I am ready for bed!
