Wisconsin Dells

Jason had a few days of vacation to use so we spent three nights at the Wisconsin Dells this week!

We turned Luke's car seat around to forward facing in hopes he would be a better traveler. Here he is glued to a Thomas episode.

A hour later we stopped at playground so the boys could play before lunch.

 

 

 

After lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings the boys napped for a bit in the car. We checked in at Wilderness Resort. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo at Glacier Canyon Lodge. We got changed and went straight to the indoor water park. The boys loved it!

We went to Buffalo Phil's for dinner. There was a short wait so we took some pictures while we waited.

 

 

It has a train that delivers your drinks and food to your table.


The waitress sent bubbles on the train, too.


On Monday morning we spent most of the morning at another indoor water park. Davis rode slides with Daddy and I got to go with him one time, too. Once Luke was getting tired, Luke and I went back to the condo to make lunch,. After lunch the boys went straight to nap time. When they got up we went to an indoor play park.

 

We went back to Buffalo Phil's for dinner. After Luke went to bed Daddy and Davis went back to the indoor water park.

On Tuesday we went to the indoor water parks and the ball play park. That evening we had dinner at Sprecher's.

After Luke went to bed on Tuesday night, Daddy and Davis went to the go kart track. Davis wanted to drive his own go kart!

Wednesday we got to the indoor water park before it opened so we went back to the ball play park. Davis loved the ball gun.

We went back to the water park once it had opened,

Luke would play so hard and then need a little break for a snack.

Davis didn't take time to sit down for a snack, he ran all over the park, did slides by himself and rode slides with Daddy. We all went on an enclosed slide, Luke included. It was so much fun.

After lunch at Cracker Barrel, we headed home. The boys were worn out from their few days at the Dells.

Last Day

Friday was our last day of our trip. It was raining in the morning so we slept in, ate a late breakfast and then packed up to check out. Once it cleared up, we played a round of mini golf and then relaxed by the pool all afternoon. Later that afternoon we headed back to Kahului. We did a little shopping before going to dinner at Da Kitchen again. We weren't adventurous with our eating this time and both got a burger. We stopped at Krispy Kreme before returning our rental car and checking in at the airport for our 2130 flight.

Ready to get home to the boys

I slept most of the 5.5 hour flight and Jason watched movies. We had a person sit in between us on the exit row. I wanted a window seat and Jason wanted the aisle seat so we decided not to switch! We got to see the sunrise from the airplane.

We only had a hour layover before catching our flight to Minneapolis. I slept most of this 3.5 hour flight, too. Jason dozed off a little bit, too. We had a 1.5 layover so we had lunch at Chick Fil A before catching our final plane to Des Moines. Once in Des Moines we drove straight home to some very excited boys! We were so glad to see them. Grampa and Granna had a delicious supper for us shortly after getting home!

Thursday morning we slept in and had our huge breakfast again.

 

 

After breakfast, we hung out at the pool for a bit and ventured into the ocean at the resort. The beaches south of the resort were going to reopen at 1200 so we planned on going back to Secret Beach. We watched the NFL draft by the pool.

After watching more of the draft, we set off for Secret Beach.

 

 

 

 

 

We went back to the resort for the evening.

 I did laundry and Jason set up the video camera and IPad to record the sunset.

We went to Tommy Bahama Restaurant for appetizers and dessert since it was so late.
