Chicago

In August Jason had orientation for school in Madison Wisconsin. He's doing an online masters degree from University of Wisconsin in Engine Systems. I met him up there for a couple of nights before I met my parents in Chicago. My mom has a seminar every year in Chicago so I met them there. My dad and I would go see Chicago while mom was in class and then we would spend time together with mom at night.

I dragged dad to Wrigley Field and we ended up on a tour of Wrigley. We even got to go in the clubhouse. It was so much fun although dad was pretty bored and hungry towards the end! That weekend I brought my parents to Iowa so they could visit us at home. Dad was excited to see US Grant's home! They went to church with us on Sunday and it was really nice for them to see our new church family!

The Brown's visit

In August we welcomed Jason's parents and sister to Iowa. It was so nice for them to be able to come check Iowa out. We toured the Waterloo John Deere facility. On Saturday we drove up to Minneapolis to the Mall of America. It was so much fun to go on the roller coaster and not to mention shop at a real mall! On Sunday they got to come to our church. It was so nice to have Phil, Joanne and Jennifer here to see how we have settled in!
