19 months old

What a goober!

• Drinks whole milk at meals and with afternoon snack. He drinks up to 20 ounces a day. He likes water, too (especially from the boy's Lightning McQueen sippy cups).
  

• Loves solids and will eat most anything. When he is done he will start dropping food on the floor. He grins really big when we give him something he really likes (usually blueberries) 

• Sleeps 15 hours in a 24 hour period. 

• Asleep by 1930. Sleeps 12 hours at night and plays happily in his crib until I get him at 0800.

 

• He loves to go to sleep. He will say bye bye and night night to Daddy. When I put him in the crib for bed I lean over and pray with him. He will stand up and wrap his arms around my neck. Once I am done he says bye bye as I walk out the door.  

• Newest words are hot, potty, no no, mine and night, night. He follows me around the house, "Momma, Momma!"
• Wears size 4 diaper, size 6 shoe and moving into 24 month clothes. 
•  Loves to help around the house particularly sweeping and vacuuming.

• He notices when he needs to go potty and will bend over, hold himself and say uh oh. He has peed in the potty a few times if I catch him in time.
• Adores his big brother 

Row, row, row (your boat)

Luke's favorite book right now is a book of nursery rhymes. I have only read this one to him a handful of times. Granny read this book to him while we were gone. He will start singing "Row, row, row your boat"  runs to his room and brings the book back to us to read.

19 months old

Just call me Flash

Davis is sleeping 14 to 15 1/2 hours in a 24 hour period. He has learned so many new words this month and will repeat just about anything you say! Here are tidbits about this month:

• His new words this month are: Sally, Sammy (dogs names of course!), Davis, amen, bless you, all done, oh no, ideos (videos), lashcards (flashcards on the Ipad), tickle, tickle, tickle (with the hand movement). We finally figured out the two words he would say all the time but had no idea what they were. "Rarly" is water and "Alne" is I want
• Has four teeth on top and still three on the bottom
  
• You can tell how much he enjoys his food....the quieter he is the better eating he does. If it's something he does not like he will play and talk all through the meal. He no longer has baby burps but big boy burps

•  He was quite the ham on our trip to Florida for Christmas. He loved all the attention he received!

• He always has a a spatula or other kitchen utensil in his hand. He loves going through all the drawers and now can reach the counter. 

•  Did not like hearing the trains at Granny and Granddaddy's house. Before any of us would hear the horn, Davis would stop what  he was doing, back up and want to be held.

• Loves rummaging through the pantry and pulling out granola bars, wheat thins and goldfish
• Can blow his nose
• This was the first month that it seemed like my baby had turned into a little boy. Daddy and I adore you!
