18 months old

• At his well visit, weighed 25 pounds 8 ounces (67% for kids his age), was 34.5 inches tall (97%) and head circumference was 18.5 inches (37%).
• Drinks up to 20 ounces of  (warm) whole milk a day. with meals and after the afternoon nap
• Loves solids and will eat most anything.

• Newest words: Hannah, row, yes, nana (banana), hi (two syllables!), bye bye. ready 2 go. 
• He will say hi and bye bye to people when we are shopping or playing at the park.
• When he goes down a slide or gets ready to do something he will say, "Ready 2 Go!" It'a a combination of 1, 2, 3 and Ready, set, go!
• Sleeps up to 15 hours in a 24 hour period. 
• Asleep by 1930. Sleeps 12 hours at night and plays happily in his crib until I get him at 0800. 
• He naps around 1230 and he sleeps for 2-2 1/2 hours. 
• In less than a week two more molars and two more eye teeth came in (8 teeth on bottom, 8 teeth on top now)
• Loves books especially his book of nursery rhymes. (Granny read this book to him while we were gone.) He will start singing "Row, row, row your boat", runs to his room and brings the book back to us to read.

18 months old

Davis is sleeping 13 1/2 to 15 1/2 hours in a 24 hour period. He is a great napper and usually takes one afternoon nap that lasts between 1 1/2 to 3 hours. Here are tidbits about this month:

• At his 18 month appointment, weighed  22.5 pounds on the big boy scale ( 28% for kids his age), 33 inches tall (69%) and head circumference was 19 inches (74%)
• His new words this month are: Davis, bath, goose, Hannah. (will repeat most words)
• Is a great helper around the house especially vacuuming and handing me dishes out of the dishwasher.

• Has three teeth on the top and now three on the bottom
• When Daddy comes home and I kiss him, Davis immediately wants a kiss, too!
• He loves a book I made for Seth and Hannah from our camping trip to the mountains. He will point to the book and say, "Hannah?" I am working on Seth's name!

Saying his name

The boy has been repeating his name for a few weeks now. Today I finally got it on video!
